FAQs

Here's some key info to ensure you have a great time with The Faire

About The Faire

Are children allowed?

The Faire is 18+ only.

How big is the event going to be?

The 2026 Edition will host approximately 500 patrons at a time. 500 people sitting at long tables all at once, surrounding a large performance area is a pretty sizeable room.

Do I need to create a character and manage my profile etc to be able to come to an event?

Not at all. Creating a character and keeping your profile in The Inn updated enables us to give you fun adventures and more lore and backstory. But you can still have an awesome time just rocking up in a costume and going with the flow.

I need to contact someone

Send us a DM on Instagram or Facebook please.

Is this a LARP event?

Technically, it kind of is. In spirit, this is more a heavily themed party with a fair wack of context. You'll have a better time if you follow the custom adventure prompts we send you across the night for your character, but you'll still have a great time if you just turn up.

Costumes

Are costumes required?

Yes. If you turn up without a costume, we will provide you one. No promises that it'll be very flattering.

Can I bring weapons?

Solid wood, metal and other hard materials in the shape of fighting implements aren't allowed. This is a fairly high intensity space with a lot going on. We may revise this policy for future events, but for now, keep it soft and pliable please.

Food and drink

Is food and drink included in my ticket?

Tickets give you entry to the show. There are some options that allow you to pre-purchase food and beverage. But generally most people purchase what they want during the show.

How do I order food and drink at the show?

Either head up to the bars or grab what walks past you. Our roving servers will also offer you different dishes and drinks while you're seated so that you can try lots of great options. You're welcome to flag servers down if they're holding something you want to try. Kinda like a sushi train or yum cha!

Please ensure you have your tokens (if you've pre-purchased any) or your pay pass card ready to go. This is quick, high intensity service. If you're taking ages, the servers might just walk away to someone who is ready.

Will there be vegetarian/vegan food?

Yep. Just make sure to let the server know any dietary requirements you have before grabbing something unknown.

Tickets

I can't attend anymore, what can I do with my ticket

Head to Tixel. DO NOT try and sell it directly in places like Facebook. We try to remove any posts and comments regarding transferring tickets due to the overwhelming presence of scams.

When are tickets being made available?

First access - October 19 at 7:30AM AWST

General sale - October 20 at 7:30AM AWST

How many tickets are available?

As we care very deeply about the quality of the experience at The Faire, Edition 1 will have a very limited capacity of 500 per show.

If you would like to attend, please register your character and party ahead of time so that we can ensure to cater the seating chart.

How does reserved seating work?

HOW DOES SEATING WORK?

Everyone needs an admission ticket. On top of that there are two optional seating upgrades.

You don't need either to have a great night. There's plenty of table space; without an upgrade your party might just get split up as the night goes on, which is a fun way to meet new people.

RESERVED SEATING

- Per person. Everyone you want seated together needs a reserved seating upgrade as well as an admission ticket.

- Sold in pairs, because we reserve tables in slices of 2. Odd-sized party? You keep the spare seat.

- You can buy upgrades for your friends and let them buy their own admission tickets. Or leave one friend off the list and let them fend for themselves. We won't tell.

RINGSIDE SEATING

- Per party. Only one person in your party buys it, and it covers your seating, so nobody needs reserved seating as well.

- Available as a 5-player or 10-player table. Got more than 10? Add reserved seating for the extras and we'll seat the whole party together.

- Your party sits at the end of the long table, closest to the ring.

- We only hold seats for players registered to your party by the cutoff, rounded up to the nearest pair. Buy a 10-player table with 7 registered, and we'll hold 8 seats. Unused seats aren't refunded.

THE CUTOFF: 5PM AWST THE DAY BEFORE YOUR SHOW

That's when we lock in every party and count its upgrades. By then, make sure:

- everyone in your party has joined it at the-faire.com

- every upgrade was bought with an email registered to your party

Anything after the cutoff won't count toward your seating.

What do you mean by Silver Coin?

A Faire Silver Coin token is worth one drink (anything except spirit + energy drinks) or one plate of food, with a few large exceptions that are noted on the menu. Buy them with your ticket and we'll hand them over at the door when you check-in. If you were given them as part of a promotion, we'll link them to your ticket ahead of the show.

You don't have to buy them. We take card on the night. They are just faster.

Coins are only good for the night of your show, can't be digitally transferred (though you could hand them to your friend on the night) and can't be refunded, so don't overbuy.

They aren't actually coins made of silver.

Do I have to buy my own ticket? Can I buy everyone's tickets?

You can buy just your own, or you can buy everyone's tickets. All tickets are linked back to the party that you're a part of - that way you can check that you've gotten enough.
